What “Research Use Only” Means

All products sold by EMK Research LLC are designated as “Research Use Only” (RUO). RUO products are reference materials intended exclusively for in vitro laboratory research performed by qualified investigators. They are not finished pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, cosmetics, or consumer products of any kind.

Permitted Uses

EMK Research products are intended for use in laboratory research conducted by:

  • Academic and institutional research laboratories
  • Private research entities and biotechnology firms
  • Government research bodies
  • Qualified independent researchers operating under applicable laws

Prohibited Uses

Products sold by EMK Research are NOT intended for, and must not be used for:

  • Human consumption of any kind
  • Animal or veterinary consumption
  • Therapeutic, diagnostic, or clinical use
  • Cosmetic application
  • Dietary supplement use
  • Recreational use
  • Compounding into finished pharmaceutical products

Regulatory Classification

EMK Research LLC operates strictly as a chemical supplier of research reference materials. EMK Research LLC is NOT a compounding pharmacy or chemical compounding facility as defined under 503A of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. EMK Research LLC is NOT an outsourcing facility as defined under 503B of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
